Kinzigtal-Path

Distance: 91.5 kilometers
Duration: 5 – 6 hours
Difficulty level: easy – medium

The Kinzigtal-Path goes from Freudenstadt to Offenburg for about 90 kilometers
The beginning of the route is characterized by forest paths and is mostly uphill. From Lossburg, however, it mostly goes downhill
and from here on this route becomes family-friendly.

Starting from Hotel Adler, follow the signs for the Kinzigtal cycle track. These are outlined in white, with a green arrow and the inscription “Kinzigtal”.

After the first stage in Lossburg, it is worth making a detour to the Kinzig spring. It is located in the forest at the Kinzigsee and the Lossburger Zauberland.

The tour goes on in direction of Alpirsbach. On the trail of the Rafts man's Path, you can enjoy a wonderful idyll along the Kinzig, until you finally arrive in Schiltach. A visit to the historic old town with its numerous half-timbered houses is worthwhile.

The next stage is Hausach. Hausach is known for the timber framing of the rafters and tanners. Via Haslach and Gengenbach, you finally come to the destination in Offenburg. Shortly before Offenburg there is a highlight of the tour. The landmark of the Ortenau - the Ortenberg Castle.
At the end of the route you simply take the train S-Bahn back to the starting point - Freudenstadt.

Tour de Murg

Distance: 65.8 kilometers
Duration: 6 hours
Difficulty level: easy
The Tour de Murg, the most popular cycling route in the Murg Valley, runs for around 65 kilometers. The train goes up, the bike goes down.

From the Hotel Adler you start in the direction of Murgtal. In Christophtal a new, asphalted cycle path begins, which runs on the valley-side embankment below the road B462. At the exit of Baiersbronn the B462 is crossed, then a flat stage along large meadows until shortly before Huzenbach. There follows a short, steep ascent followed by a descent towards the train station. After crossing the B462, a short ascent to Schwarzenberg. Shady areas of forest line the further course through the increasingly narrow Murg valley. From the Forbach district of Gausbach, there is another ascent along a goat meadow, followed by a rapid descent to Langenbrand. The asphaltic trail continues through the villages of Au im Murgtal to Weisenbach. On the B462 you arrive to Hilpertsau. From there, continue along side streets through the old town of Gernsbach, the rafts-men village Hörden, Gaggenau and Unimog Museum and Kuppenheim to the end of the tour, the Rastatt train station.
To find your way along the route, simply follow the white-framed signs with a bicycle and the inscription - Tour de Murg.
